Empire and Allied Ex-Servicemen Scheme 1948-1955

In June 1948 the Australian Government decided that under the 1947 Empire and Allied Ex-Servicemen Scheme also certain nationals of the Netherlands had been eligible to receive financial assistance towards the costs of their emigration to Australia. As the NAMA 1956 scheme also meant a liberalization of the arrangements under which Dutch migrants were accepted, the Empire and Allied Ex-Servicemen Scheme was not continued.
